The LEGO Group’s Duplo® product-line delivers fun and creative building-play for children in the pre-school age category.

DEVELOPA partnered with The LEGO Group’s internal concept development team, setting out to redefine the range of play experiences offered within the Duplo® product portfolio.

DEVELOPA operated a series of strategic development tools in a process combining both analytical and creative approaches. A broad spectrum of play experiences were conceived and explored.

This approach lead to DEVELOPA identifying, among others, the classic ‘pull along’ play experience. This proved to have great fit with the natural development phases of children at the lower age-range of the preschool category.

The resulting product is the ‘Toddler Build & Pull Along’ set. The inherent play experiences develop both fine and gross motoric coordination skills through building and walking. These benefits are embodied in the fun and cheerfully appealing play-set, encouraging the ‘little-ones’ to proudly ‘pull-along’ to parade their creations throughout the family home.
