DEVELOPA and Kruuse, a leading global supplier of innovative veterinary equipment, teamed up to develop a specialised veterinary pet lifting and transporting system for fully-supported in-clinic pet handling.

Insights were gathered through in-clinic observations, interviews and working with veterinarian doctors & nurses. DEVELOPA identified and patterned several unmet key needs to be acted on & implemented in the product concept strategy.

Designing to fulfil the unmet needs led to the X-lifter concept. The unique X-type pet lifter & transporter is designed for quickest & easiest assisted lifting. The construction’s unique X-mechanism centralises the wheelbase for best ergonomics in use, and balanced stability while lifting & transporting. The special X-legs have an extremely low collapsed height & the assisted lifting has instant braking giving infinite height adjustability within its range. These features have created the valuable asset of a patent family for protecting Kruuse’s unique position and investment in R&D.
